On Jun3 28, I participated in a team that completed an olympic triathlon. My team consisted of Madeline Duffin, the swimmer, myself, the biker, and Lexie, the runner.

Madeline is on the left in the wet suit, Lexie is in the middle and McKay Duffin, my nephew who completed the entire olympic marathon by himself is on the right in his wet suit.

This is a photo of Madeline leaving the water after her 1 mile swim.

This is a picture of Lexie waiting for me to finish my 26 miles on the bike. Although she was the last runner to leave, she was not the last runner to finish.

My nephew, McKay has just finished. He is dressed in the red shirt.

This is Lexie crossing the finish line of her 10K run.

This picture is of all of us after our finishes. It was a great day. It was a fun time. We are all hoping to do it again next year.

My House

I am finally posting pictures of my home. I am looking forward to finishing a few of the projects still undone. I have a beautiful piece of glass to hang in my TV room. When I get it hung, I will post that picture.

The day after Lexie and I arrived in Utah, we traveled the triangle from Provo to Salt Lake to Tooele and back to Provo. We did this to see the Grandparents and let them know we were in Utah. While in Tooele, Lexie and I attended a Daughter of the Utah Pioneer event with our Duffin cousins. While there, someone needed to use the restroom. We all entered the pioneer museum to wait for them.

While waiting, I looked around at the pictures of the early Tooele settlers hanging on the wall for my ancestors. I was surprised to find some pictures of Picketts. Because none of them were John Pickett, I did not think much about it. Still, I copied the articles about them from their files for later reading. After reading them, I found out that they were all ancestors of Todd, my husband.

To finish off the story, on the Fourth of July, we looked for headstones in the Tooele cemetery. This is what we found:

Matthew and Harriet were Todd's great-great-grandparents. In the first pictures is a marker put in by the Daughter of the Utah Pioneers. The second marker is most likely an original to the family. So, ancestors from both of my children's families have original settlers in Tooele!
