Free Pearl Laser Treatment

On day three, my thought was "What have I done to myself!"
Two weeks later, it looks pretty good.  Was it worth it?  Maybe. Would I do it again?  I don't think so.

Tax Day 2012

I want to be "Fair and Balanced" in my reporting. I had written a blog earlier this month about the Chicago "Occupy" rally. Now I am going to share pictures of the "Tea Party" and "Americans for Prosperity" rally held on tax day in the Daley Plaza.

The two speeches I listened to were quite interesting. The speakers addressed cutting spending, getting rid of corrupt state legislators and the Obama health care legislation.

I think the police were less "occupied" during this rally. I could only count seven and they were all hanging out together at the far end of the plaza away from the rally.

Oops!

I recently went to see my daughter and while there we did some spring cleaning.  At one point she acted embarrassed by the dust that was behind furniture.  To assure her that this happens to all of us.  When I returned to my home, I was inspired to paint the walls in my apartment.  After pulling my bed away from the wall, I found...  dust!  The dust does not look nearly as abundant in the photo as it did live.  Like I said, it happens to all of us!

Birthday Celebration!

My children's birthdays fall within a 3 week period every year. It is a great time to think about them and how much joy they have brought to my life. This year I increased the joy by celebrating with my own cake: white with lemon frosting and shredded coconut. Happy birthday kiddos!!!

Indian Mounds in the USA!!!

I met my sister in Collinville, Illinois to view the Cahokia Mounds. What a treat. I got to spend the day with my sister and see something so significant! In this picture, we are standing on the lower base of the largest mound. This mound is the biggest know earth mound in all of the Americas. The depictions of the entire site give a perspective of the immense size and grandeur of the area. It is certainly a must stop for visitors passing through.

Chicago Spring

The "Occupy" movement has never grown to be a significant issue in Chicago. My hat goes off to the city and police. They did not allow them to live in the parks. Still, today was to be the protesters' big showing. They were to meet in several locations and march to the Federal Reserve Bank and then around Grant Park.

There were fewer than 100 people when we saw the protests from our window. They carried a banner that read "Chicago Spring". I suppose the protesters are trying to draw a connection with their grips and those of many in the Middle East. The people on bikes are the police escort. If you are wondering what the big pink things is they are carrying.....

... that would be a capitalist pig!
